Dogru Inducted into National Academy of Engineering

At a ceremony on October 8, 2017, in Washington DC, ERL Visiting Scientist Dr. Ali Dogru received the highest honor awarded engineers in the US, induction into the National Academy of Engineers, honoring his contributions to "the development of high-performance computing in hydrocarbon reservoir simulation."  Dr. Dogru is shown here with former US Secretary of the Nacy and current Chair of NAE Gordon R. England (right) and NAE President Daniel Mote (left).  In addition to his role in ERL, Dr. Dogru is a Saudi Aramco Fellow whose current research is focused on developing next generation parallel reservoir simulators in order to improve reservoir models and optimize oil recovery in mature fields.
