Dr Yunyue Elita Li has been chosen by the Society of Exploration Geophysics to receive the 2018 Karcher Award for "contributions to the science and technology of exploration geophysics by a young geophysicist." Dr. Li was a Postdoctoral Associate at MIT ERL from 2014 to 2016, and is now an Assocate Professor at National University of Singapore and Research Affiliate in ERL. While at MIT she collaborated with prof. Laurent Demanet on bandwidth extension of seismic shot records, and its implication for waveform inversion.
