Please join us for an informal chat over coffee and snacks with EAPS alum Neal R. Goins in the Earth Resources Lab (2nd floor)!

Dr.  Goins recently retired as Director of International Government Relations for ExxonMobil Corporation.

He joined Mobil Corporation in 1978 and held a variety of research, operations, corporate planning, and managerial positions over almost four decades, including time spent in Nigeria and Mexico. His roles have included New Business Manager in Lagos, Nigeria, Principal Geoscientist for Mobil Corporation, with global responsibility for operations project quality and staff development.  Following the merger between Exxon and Mobil, Dr. Goins became Area Manager with responsibility for all exploration business and geoscience technology in Nigeria. Later, he was President of ExxonMobil Ventures based in Mexico City, before becoming Director of International Government Relations for XOM.

Dr. Goins is a member of the US Department of State Advisory Committee on Economic Policy, and the US Chamber of Commerce International Policy Committee. He has published more than 40 peer-reviewed papers on geoscience, holds several patents, has served on multiple industry and academic advisory committees.
