Biographical Overview
I am a 4th year PhD student working with Dr. Nori Nakata and Dr. Rachel Abercrombie. My research interest is in induced earthquakes, near-surface structure characterization and temporal monitoring. I have been working on the following topics: (1) Using Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) for monitoring temporal changes. Utilizing dark-fiber to collect DAS data. (2) The uncertainties of earthquake source parameter and stress drop. How site-effect contribute to these uncertainties. (3) Surface wave tomography. (3) The deformation mechanisms of Carrara Marble at the brittle-plastic transition with lab experiment (using ultrasound pulsing and acoustic emissions). In my free time, I like paddling and sailing on the Charles river and rollerblading along the riverside.
