Above: ERL Gradtuate Student Ekaterina Bolotskaya presents her work at the 2018 ERL Annual Founding Members Meeting. She will also be presenting a poster at AGU.
If you’re planning on attending the America Geophysical Union’s Fall Meeting this December and Washington, DC, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to catch up on the laterst research from MIT. MIT Earth Resources Laboratory professors, research scientists, postdocs, and students will be there to present 24 posters and 11 talks, and convene three sessions. That’s in addition to presentations by our colleagues in other parts of the Department of Earth, Amtospheric, and Planetary Sciences and MIT. The Department will also be hosting a reception for alumni and friends the evening of 12/10 (If you haven’t received your invitation, please contact Allison Provaire at provaire at mit dot edu.)
We hope you can join us for some of our presentations which will cover our areas of experitise– multiphase flow, geomechanics, inversion/uncertainty, and imaging– while a few will touch on our newest area of focus, scientific machine learning and its application to geophysics. (printable schedule)
