Yury Alkhimenkov

Postdoctoral Fellow 2024

PhD, U. Lausanne, 2022
MSC, Applied Geophysics, ETH Zurich / Delft U. of Technology / RWTH Aachen U, 2017

Biographical Overview:

Dr. Akhimenkov was a postdoctoral fellow working with Prof. Juanes in ERL / Dept. of Civil and Environmental Engineering. He is now a Senior Researcher at Lausanne University. His research focuses on understanding induced seismicity and earthquake physics using high-performance computing. Dr. Akhimenkov develops codes for solving partial differential equations using Matlab, C language, and CUDA C (GPU) and applies them to model poroelastic equations for applications in induced seismicity.

Research Areas:
Geomechanics; Rock Physics & Chemistry
