Abstract

I present the result of numerical modeling of synthetic acoustic emission in cylindrical rock specimens which was successfully compared with the experimental observation and analytical solution for specific cases with emphasize on investigating the effect of fabric rock mechanical properties, natural fracture constitutive model and fracture size on Seismic Efficiency, Rupture Velocity and sensor waveform responses and with application to hydraulic fracturing induced microseimicity.
