Abstract

By combining solvent-extraction and microfluidic technology, photonic microbeads with controllable size, optical properties, and core-sell structure could be fabricated in a short time of several minutes. The self-assembly of the photonic crystal could be good enough and be controlled by changing the extraction environment.
