  • MIT Earth Resources Laboratory will present exciting new projects in geothermal energy and carbon sequestration as part of the MIT Innovation Showcase hosted by MIT Climate Project on September 24, 2025, at the Dream Downtown Hotel in Chelsea as part of Climate Week NYC 2025. If you’ll be in New York, be sure to stop by to hear about two innovative approaches to carbon sequestration (via mineralization and biologic processes) as well as collaborative work with MIT Plasma and Fusion Center (who will also be presenting) on using high-energy beams to reach deep geothermal energy.
