Ahmed Sami Alhawaj

Biographical Overview:

Ahmed is a graduate student and part of the Juanes Research Group. His research interests include numerical modeling of rock mechanics and fluid dynamics for sustainable energy applications, such as geothermal energy and subsurface resources. Before coming to MIT, Ahmed worked at Aramco, where his research focused on geomechanics and advanced 3D modeling informed by laboratory experiments, targeting frontier sedimentary basins. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Earth Sciences from the University of Arizona.
