Biographical Overview:
Dr. Niels Grobbe was a Postdoctoral Associate at ERL from 2016-2017 working with with Prof. Laurent Demanet and Dr. Aimé Fournier. He is now an Assistant Researcher at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Previously, he has obtained his B.Sc. degree in Earth Sciences (major in Geophysics), and his M.Sc. degree in Geophysics from Utrecht University in the Netherlands. In June 2016, he has obtained his Ph.D. degree in Applied Geophysics from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. His primary research interests encompass coupled poroelastic and electromagnetic fields, geophysical imaging and inversion, uncertainty analysis, interferometry, near-surface geophysical characterization, and numerical modeling of complex wave phenomena.
