Biographical Overview:

Zhendong Zhang joined Nori Nakata’s research group as a Postdoctoral Associate in July 2021. He was a Postdoc Research Associate at Princeton University before joining MIT ERL. His research interests include global mantle discontinuities, numerical solutions for pseudo-acoustic wave equations, finding optimal objective functions for elastic FWI, deep-learning aided regularization for multiparameter estimation and surface wave inversion.
