Biographical Overview
Dr. Alves da Silva completed his PhD in 2020 and is now a postdoctoral associate working with Prof. Ruben Juanes. His PhD work focused on development of computational models for coupled multiphase flow and geomechanics modeling, with applications to induced seismicity and carbon storage. He received a bachelor degree in Geophysics from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil in 2009. Prior to come to MIT, he worked for 5 years in the Oil & Gas industry (Schlumberger) as a Reservoir Geophysicist.
